The CCM 2S has a slight increase in treble with frontal sound and only a slight drop in treble in the diffuse sound field or with oblique sound incidence.
With its treble boost, this microphone lies between the CCM 2 and the CCM 2XS and can therefore be used universally.
Many audio engineers like to use the CCM 2S, especially for stereo recordings with two or three microphones, which are usually placed close to the reverberation radius. It is our most popular print receiver.
The CCM 2S is particularly popular for AB stereophony or for the Decca tree. This is often realized using the KA 40 ball attachment. It leads to greater bundling and a slight increase in medium frequencies.
