Transitioning to 4K UHD doesn't have to be a big deal. Grass Valley's V-series video production centers have a compact 3 RU footprint that is ideal for smaller stations, studios, mobile environments, corporate, sports venues, eSports, educational, government and houses of worship production facilities. But that doesn't mean you have to compromise on performance. A simple license upgrade enables the V-series to handle either 1080p or 4K UHD programming in either SDQS or 2SI with up/down/cross conversion. Using EZ 4K mode, quad-resources are managed across the switcher as a single entity, allowing users to configure 4K UHD as easily as an HD show. Because of its modular design, even a transition from SDI to SMPTE ST 2022-6, 2022-7 and 2110 compliant IP is as easy as an I/O board swap.
